hair hues for fall

A few weeks ago we talked about resetting the beauty button with a cute cut for fall.  Now it’s time to talk about my favorite part of having a head of hair – fresh color!  This past spring and summer we saw a lot of brunettes go platinum and blondes go pastel.  Now is the time to come back to the dark side with hints of those lighter tresses.  I am loving all the rich tones loaded with dimension.  And those bold colors, if I had the cojones I would be all over them (yes, I said cojones).  Here are some hues I can’t take my eyes off of:

fall_2014_hair_color_trends_11Hello Highlights Jen’s hair is always on point.  This dark version with lighter, warm pieces around the face would be incredibly flattering on most skin tones. 2Dark Chestnut Brown some girls simply rock brunette without needing tons of highlights (like Shan).  I love the way the light picks up those subtle hints of lighter brown hidden in the dark overall color. 3Ashy Highlights icy strands of blonde layered with a cooler brown is one of my favorite looks for fall.  This especially looks gorgeous on a natural blonde with blue eyes. 4Bronde honey meets brown and they fall in and and get married.  If you are into a warmer toned blonde/light brown this is for you. 5Deep Plum loving the switch to bolder more dramatic out of the ordinary shades for fall.  6Fire Red yes, red is alot of upkeep.  But if you have the skin tone for this beyond fabulous shade I would think the maintenance would be worth it, especially for just a season.

Have you switched up the program for fall yet?  Would love to know what color you are rocking (or craving)!

I love #3! I really want to do that but am still trying to restore my hair to health after a hair dye disaster last year. I saw an older lady with colour exactly like that in #5 but she didn’t pull it off nearly as well, haha.
