inexpensive drugstore beauty

Whether you’re on a budget, forgot your makeup bag or simply in a pinch the good ol’ local drugstore offers some fantastic products at a fraction of the department store price.  It’s also a great way to test drive different colors before investing in a more expensive brand.  Here are a handful of my favorites (the blush and tweezers in particular) and a few I am itching to try:

drugstore_finds_2014_fall1Revlon ColoStay Eyeliner with SoftFlex glides on smooth and stays put all day.  Another bonus – no sharpener needed. 2Milani Baked Blush one of my favorite blushes.  Luminoso is subtle yet flattering enough for everyday use.  3L’Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Color Correcting the green formula hides redness and acts as a primer for foundation. 4Rimmel London Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer great for under eye coverage and brightening. 5Tweezerman Mini Slant Twizzer love love love these tweezers.  Pretty colors to boot. 6Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain apply a little for some color, a lot for a bolder lip.  This balm stays on all day. 7e.l.f. High Definition Powder I have yet to try this yet have heard it’s very comparable to Makeup Forever’s powder which makes it an immediate must have!

Okay ladies, what are your favorite must have drugstore beauty steals?

The Jordana 12 hour eyeliner is unbelievably nice, even in the waterline. I’ve also been surprised at how great Prestige eyeshadows have been- especially Bewitched. The elf hd powder is good for under the eye area, but I’ve noticed it does show every flaw, so for me using it all over the face isn’t an option even with a good primer. I’m also a fan of Liminoso, it reminds me of Laura Mercier baked blush.
