My apologies for being knee-deep in October with no family style board post until…today. I know you guys have photo shoots coming up (I am shooting some of you) and I also know how overwhelming it can feel to pull it all together. Well, stress no more because family style SOS is on it’s way. (And if you already have had your photo session I am sure you ROCKED it.)
With today’s inspiration I had 2 things in mind – a touch of groovy and no more than 12 items. The 70s trend is everywhere and I know you ladies love it. Even I am getting in on the action with floppy hats and a touch of fringe. This board features one bold maxi dress in a very psychedelic print and a faux suede lasercut mahagony dress. Both are on trend yet will not look ridiculous in 5 years when we are all groovied out.
As for the stay under 12 items, this was solely to prove you don’t have to pile on the layers in order to feel pulled together. Of course if it is cold you can throw a jean jacket over the girl dress and a sherpa collar jacket over the little boy plaid shirt. Hats could be added as well (you know I love a good hat). But if you happen to hit a warm fall day for your family session these looks would be picture perfect:
