It’s freaking Friday people! Better than that my man is done with his docent duty! If you are thinking “What the heck is docent duty” you are not alone. Officially google says this – a person who acts as a guide, typically on a voluntary basis, in a museum, art gallery, or zoo. Unofficially I say “It’s what Charlotte does after her split with Trey on SATC.” Only people obsessed with the show, with a freakish memory to boot, understand my explanation.
So what is it I’ll do with a weekend where my better half is available for kid duty? Nap. A lot. (Yeah, I don’t buy that either.) I’d also like to start reading again – you know, something other than “Penny Sets Up Shop” (although it is a fabulous book about an entrepreneurial little girl). Simply catching up on a few blogs would be nice. Here are current faves worth my undivided attention, even if for only 10 minutes:
Merrick’s Art she’s a stylist, she’s a seamstress, she’s a momma of two adorable little men. Her projects are not overwhelming and in general she seems very down to earth. Plus she has a fabulous name – that’s a win in my book.//Bon Appètempt I can’t even remember what led me to Amelia’s book yesterday but I am so grateful it did. Another mom with a fabulously fun way of approaching life and scary recipes. I want to invite her to my messy home to talk food.//Simply Sadie Jane or maybe Sadie Does It All should be more appropriate. She talks about everything from fashion to parenting to home decorating to her fitness journey (and so much more). An inspiration for anyone trying to figure out this whole lifestyle blog world.
