4 at-home gel polish’s to try now

Gel manicures are all the buzz right now- and whats even better is that you don’t have to visit the salon to get one.  Honestly, I’m not much of a manicure girl.  Polish doesn’t last on my fingers long with all of the baking I do, so I rarely even take the time to apply it.  Not to mention I have tiny nail beds and baby hands that really don’t need any attention drawn to them.

A few weeks ago I was strolling around Meijer and came across Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel polish.  No LED light required, just a fancy top coat- I decided to give it a go.  After trying (and loving!) it- I have been looking a bit more into these at-home gel polishes simply because I was so impressed with the fact that I didnt need to worry about chips or reapplying for a week and a half!  So, here is what I have discovered:  Gel polish in the salon is actually not so great for your nails.  The LED light exposure is bad for your skin, and the chemicals involved are a bit questionable.  The at-home version is sort of a hybrid polish that combines gel- features without the harm from the lights and harsh chemicals and soaking it takes to remove the salon style manicure.

Here are 4 great brands to give a try if you want to see what all the rage is about (and all four are LED light free options! Score!)
